WildFrame Terms of Service
Effective date: June 6, 2026 Last updated: June 27, 20261. Acceptance of Terms
By creating a WildFrame account or using the WildFrame service (including the desktop application, the mobile application, and the wildframe.app website), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
These Terms form a binding legal agreement between you (“you,” “your”) and Wanderlust Expeditions LLC, a Georgia limited liability company (“WildFrame,” “we,” “us,” “our”), located at 5545 Ashwind Trace, Johns Creek, GA 30005.
2. Account Terms
Authentication
WildFrame uses Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple, managed through Firebase Authentication. You must sign in with a Google or Apple account to create and access your WildFrame account. Your Google or Apple credentials are managed by Google or Apple, not by WildFrame.
Children’s Privacy
WildFrame is not directed at, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, do not use the Service or provide any information to us.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a user under the age of 18, we will take steps to delete their account and all associated information as quickly as possible. If you believe we may have collected information from a user under 18, please contact us at support@wildframe.app.
One Account Per Person
Each individual may maintain only one WildFrame account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent tier limits or for any other purpose is a violation of these Terms and may result in suspension or termination of all associated accounts.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@wildframe.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Subscription Tiers and Features
WildFrame offers five subscription tiers. Every tier includes all WildFrame functions available on the platform(s) it can access — tiers differ only by their monthly usage quotas and platform access (mobile-only vs. desktop + mobile), not by which functions are available.
Functions
Available on mobile (all tiers): Feed, Quick Take (photo and video), Sighting Log, Favorites, Coach, Location Portfolio, Daily Briefing, Style Mirror, and the command palette.
Unlocked with desktop access (Rover Standard, Rover Max, Outfitter): the desktop studio — Review, Enrich, Chronicle, Export, and Desktop Import. On desktop the command palette is the ⌘K keyboard shortcut; on mobile it is available from the in-app menu.
Tiers
| Tier | Price | Platform | Media quota / month | Query quota / month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wanderer | Free | Mobile only | 30 | 15 |
| Ranger | $9.99/month | Mobile only | 200 | 50 |
| Rover Standard | $19.99/month | Desktop + Mobile | 500 | 125 |
| Rover Max | $39.99/month | Desktop + Mobile | 1,000 | 300 |
| Outfitter | Custom | Desktop + Mobile | Custom | Custom |
WildFrame reserves the right to modify free-tier limits with 30 days’ written notice. Outfitter pricing is determined by individual agreement.
Usage Quotas
WildFrame tracks usage through two independent counters that reset each billing period:
- Media quota: Each photo or video that receives analysis by Anthropic Services counts as one media action. This includes Quick Take analysis and desktop import scoring.
- Query quota: Each interactive query — any request you initiate to Anthropic Services other than media assessment (for example, Coach conversations, command-palette (⌘K) intelligence, and Chronicle revisions) — counts as one query action.
The following do not count against either quota: Daily Briefing, Style Mirror, and static product help.
You will receive a notification when you reach 80% of either quota. At 100%, further actions of that type are paused until the next billing period. There is no overage billing — usage is hard-capped, not metered.
Unused quota does not roll over between billing periods.
4. Content Ownership and License Grant
Your Ownership
You retain full copyright and ownership of all media files, photographs, videos, and associated metadata that you upload to or process through WildFrame. WildFrame does not claim any ownership of your content.
Limited License to Provide the Service
By using WildFrame, you grant Wanderlust Expeditions LLC a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, non-transferable license to:
- Process your media files and metadata to provide scoring, species identification, quality signals, and editing guidance — using both Anthropic Services and an automated image-recognition model that WildFrame operates on its own servers for species identification.
- Generate and store thumbnail images and compressed video derivatives derived from your media in our cloud storage systems.
- Store metadata, assessment results, and derived data (such as species identifications and quality scores) in our database systems to provide the service.
- Display your media thumbnails and metadata back to you within the WildFrame interface.
This license is strictly limited to what is necessary to operate and provide the WildFrame service to you. The license terminates when you delete your content or close your account.
What We Will Not Do
- We will not sell, sublicense, or distribute your media to any third party.
- We will not use your media for marketing or promotional purposes without your explicit written consent.
- We will not use your content to train machine learning models.
- Content generated by Anthropic Services (species identifications, narratives, captions, coaching suggestions) produced by the Service in response to your content belongs to you. You are the creative authority over all content associated with your account.
5. Advisory Disclaimer
All scores, species identifications, quality signals, editing guidance, and Chronicle narratives provided by WildFrame are advisory in nature and are provided for informational purposes only.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Species identification may be inaccurate. Species identifications should be independently verified before being relied upon for any purpose, including scientific research, conservation reporting, or publication. WildFrame does not guarantee the accuracy of species identification.
- Assessment scores reflect analysis, not objective truth. Quality assessments, composition scores, and editorial recommendations are models and represent algorithmic and human analysis, not professional judgment.
- Coaching is suggestive, not prescriptive. Coach conversations and craft development recommendations are suggestions. They are not a substitute for the judgment of a professional photographer or editor.
- Chronicles are narratives. Trip narratives, species summaries, and story content generated by WildFrame may contain factual errors. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any content before sharing or publishing it.
- Some features may experience downtime. WildFrame’s features depend on Anthropic Services. Service availability is subject to their uptime.
WildFrame is not a substitute for professional wildlife identification services, conservation authorities, or expert editorial guidance. Do not rely on WildFrame’s species identification for safety-critical decisions, including but not limited to identifying venomous, dangerous, or protected species.
6. Data Processing
How Your Data Is Processed
WildFrame processes your data using the following systems and third-party services:
- Anthropic Services: Media metadata and frame samples are sent to Anthropic Services for analysis, including quality assessment and content generation. Anthropic’s terms state that submitted data is not used for model training and is not retained beyond the processing request.
- Automated species identification: Species are identified by an image-recognition model that WildFrame operates on its own servers. This step is not handled by a separate third-party species vendor, and your imagery is not used to train the model.
- Cloud Storage: Thumbnail images and compressed video derivatives (a reduced-quality MP4 playback copy of videos you capture in the app) are stored in Google Cloud Storage (via Firebase). Full-resolution media files remain on your local devices and external drives – WildFrame does not upload or store your original media files.
- Database: Metadata, assessment results, user preferences, and account data are stored in Google Firestore.
- WildFrame Desktop App: The WildFrame desktop app runs on your computer and reads media files from drives and folders you explicitly designate. The app transmits metadata and frame samples to WildFrame servers; it does not upload full-resolution original files.
Data Sharing
- We do not sell your personal data or media to third parties.
- We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to provide the service (e.g., sending data to Anthropic Services for processing, using Google Cloud infrastructure for storage and compute, using Apple App Store or Google Play for subscription billing).
- We may share anonymized, aggregated data (such as species sighting frequency by region) with conservation research organizations. We will never share your personal information or individual media files with third parties for this purpose without your explicit consent.
- Data may be disclosed if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
For full details on data collection, storage, and your rights, see our Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use WildFrame only for its intended purpose: organizing, assessing, and managing wildlife and nature photography and videography. You agree not to:
- Upload or process content you do not own or do not have the rights to process.
- Upload illegal content of any kind, including content that depicts illegal poaching or wildlife trafficking.
- Use the service to harass, threaten, or harm others.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract WildFrame’s source code, algorithms, or service prompts.
- Use automated means to access the service beyond normal use (scraping, bulk API calls, bots).
- Circumvent plan limits, tier enforcement mechanisms, or device restrictions.
- Share your account credentials or allow others to use your account.
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation.
WildFrame reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these acceptable use policies.
8. Billing and Payment
Payment Processing
All paid subscriptions are billed exclusively through the Apple App Store (for iOS users) or Google Play Store (for Android users). WildFrame does not process payments directly and does not store your payment card information. By subscribing to a paid tier, you agree to the applicable terms of Apple or Google for in-app purchases.
- Apple subscriptions are auto-renewable subscriptions managed through your Apple ID account settings.
- Google subscriptions are managed through your Google Play account settings.
Auto-Renewal
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. You will be charged the then-current rate for your tier at each renewal.
No Overage Billing
WildFrame uses hard usage caps, not metered overage. When you reach 100% of your media or query quota for the billing period, further actions of that type are paused until the next period begins. You will never be charged beyond your subscription price.
Subscription Changes
- Upgrades: Take effect immediately. Apple and Google handle proration.
- Downgrades: Take effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain your current tier’s features until then.
- Cancellation: You retain access to paid features through the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, your account reverts to the Wanderer (free) tier.
Grace Periods
If a payment fails at renewal: - Apple: A grace period of up to 16 days applies automatically, during which your tier is maintained. - Google: A grace period of up to 7 days applies, during which your tier is maintained.
If payment is not resolved within the grace period, your account is downgraded to the Wanderer (free) tier.
Dual-Subscription Prevention
You may not hold active paid subscriptions through both Apple and Google simultaneously. If you have an active subscription on one platform, you must allow it to fully expire before subscribing through the other platform.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google, as applicable, in accordance with their respective refund policies. WildFrame does not process refunds directly.
Billing Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact Apple Support or Google Play Support for the platform through which you subscribed. For service-related questions, contact support@wildframe.app.
9. Cancellation and Data Retention
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (iOS) or Google Play account settings (Android). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
After cancellation takes effect, your account will revert to the Wanderer (free) tier. Your data (trips, assessments, media metadata) will be retained but features beyond the Wanderer tier will no longer be available.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. WildFrame does not issue refunds directly. Unused media or query quota does not roll over between billing periods.
10. International Data Transfers
WildFrame stores and processes data in the United States (Google Cloud us-central1 region). If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By accessing and using this website, you agree to this data transfer provision.
For Users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, your data is transferred to the United States under the following safeguards:
- Google Cloud Platform operates under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses for EU-US data transfers.
- Anthropic processes API data in the United States. Data is not retained beyond the processing request per current API terms.
- Apple/Google billing data is processed under Apple’s and Google’s respective data processing terms, both of which include approved transfer mechanisms.
- Sentry maintains Standard Contractual Clauses for EU data transfers.

To exercise your California privacy rights, contact us at support@wildframe.app.
12. Service Availability
WildFrame is provided on a best-effort basis. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service.
- No SLA for free tier. The Wanderer tier is provided without any service level commitment.
- Paid tiers. While we aim for reliable service for paid subscribers, WildFrame does not currently offer a formal Service Level Agreement (SLA). This may change in the future.
- Scheduled maintenance. We will provide reasonable advance notice of planned downtime when possible.
- Force majeure. WildFrame is not liable for service interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet outages, or third-party service failures.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- WildFrame is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- WildFrame does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that data will not be lost.
- WildFrame does not warrant the accuracy of any content generated by Anthropic Services, including species identifications, quality assessments, or Wildlife Chronicle narratives.
- In no event shall Wanderlust Expeditions LLC, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
- Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to WildFrame in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Wanderlust Expeditions LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from:
- Your use of the service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.
- Content you upload to or process through WildFrame.
15. Intellectual Property
WildFrame, the WildFrame desktop app, the WildFrame mobile app, the WildFrame brand, the WildFrame design system, and all associated software, algorithms, and documentation are the intellectual property of Wanderlust Expeditions LLC. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets except as necessary to use the service as intended.
16. WildFrame Desktop App
The WildFrame desktop app imports your media and syncs metadata to WildFrame. By installing and using the desktop app, you agree that:
- The app reads media files only from drives and folders you explicitly designate. It does not scan your entire filesystem.
- The app transmits metadata and frame samples; it does not upload your full-resolution original files. Your originals remain on your device.
- When you are offline, the app stores queued import jobs in a local database on your device; these sync to WildFrame servers when connectivity is restored and are not shared with third parties.
- You may use the desktop app on any device associated with your account.
The app runs only while you have it open; it does not launch at login or run in the background. Usage analytics in the desktop app are disabled by default. You may enable them at any time via Settings > Privacy > Usage analytics.

- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for WildFrame.
- Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to your use of WildFrame.

18. Termination
By You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@wildframe.app. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately, subject to any remaining paid billing period.

- You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity.
- Your account has been inactive for an extended period (we will provide notice before terminating inactive accounts).
- We discontinue the service (we will provide at least 30 days’ notice).

Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow you to export it. After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted. Your original media files on your local devices are unaffected by account termination.
19. Modifications to Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice within the WildFrame application at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Non-material changes (such as correcting typographical errors) may take effect immediately.

20. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of WildFrame shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The venue of arbitration shall be Atlanta, Georgia. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding.
Class Action Waiver. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis only, and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
Small Claims Exception. Notwithstanding the above, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court in Fulton County, Georgia.
International Users. If you reside in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or any other jurisdiction where mandatory consumer protection laws apply, nothing in this section limits your rights under those laws. You may bring claims in your local courts if required by applicable mandatory consumer protection legislation, and any mandatory statutory consumer rights in your jurisdiction are not waived by these Terms.
